You’ll find Ocean Echoes just off Beach Road, about 10 minutes south of Batemans Bay. She sits between two beautiful south coast beaches, Surf Beach and Wimbie Beach, both kid-friendly and beautifully welcoming.
As you arrive, you can let your stresses go, there is ample parking on the property, including space for a boat trailer. We will send you a Secure Access Code to gain entry to the house, it is valid for your stay only and saves having to worry about a key or having to stay all together, guests can come and go as they please.
Once inside, on the top floor, is the lounge and sitting room, enough space for all, as well as dining and kitchen. The dining table is a solid construction of Mango wood seating 10-12 comfortably.
The kitchen has a fully stocked pantry, oven, microwave, cooktop and of course, dishwasher!
The kitchen allows you to easily prepare meals for family and friends while enjoying ocean views. Everything you need to enjoy yourselves is available, as well as the all-important slow-cooker/pressure-cooker, ready to go when you arrive back from the beach. The area flows through to our large deck with the recent addition of stackable 6m sliding doors, bringing the outside in and expanding the overall feel of the house. A new BBQ with cover is available for your responsible use, with a teak outdoor dining table and chairs.
Two bedrooms are located on the top floor. The master, painted in a calming “Surfmist” colour along with a newly renovated ensuite equipped with towels, toilet paper, and hairdryer. You have blackout blinds in all bedrooms, especially useful in summer in the master. Down the hall is the second bedroom, opposite a full bathroom, also newly renovated and equipped with towels and toilet paper.
A full bath, perfect for either throwing 3 kids in at once, or indulging in some spa-time yourself, is included.
As you take the staircase downstairs, you’ll find the third bedroom on the left. All bedrooms contain beautiful queen beds with 1000 thread count cotton linen. Sleeping is your body’s way of replenishing energy for the next day, it’s an important process, especially with kids to entertain!
Opposite the third bedroom, is the large laundry area. This area is a multi-purpose room and as soon as you walk in, you’ll find the Ocean Echoes Library with a big collection of different novels and auto-biographies, generously donated by the houses’ previous owner. In this area also are camper chairs for the beach and “whale tail” hangers for everyone’s wet towels.
The downstairs bathroom is also here, in all its original charm, it is fully functional and perfect for throwing sandy kids into, straight from the backdoor! The laundry is a beautiful big area, with a sunny window, new appliances and washing liquids supplied for your convenience. A large linen hutch holds everything our cleaner needs to make the beds fresh after every stay.
Leaving the laundry, you’re about the hit the KidZone.
You’ll know this by the huge barndoor we had made and installed, equipped with an old re-purposed iron handle found under a house at Tuross Head.
We consider this area the jewel in the crown because it holds everything to keep the kids entertained.
You’ll find two lounges and three sets of solid bunk beds. A work/play table, our kids library area for all ages and of course the TV. A six drawer chest will hold the individuals belongings, keeping everything together can be hard with so many, I know. Easy access to the back or front yards when you allow it, and in summer it is a beautiful cool space, though don’t fear the winter, the heaters on both top and bottom levels have ample power to keep the areas toasty.
